WISP Dark Zone and Competitive Analysis
and Detailed Business Customer Prospects
Detailed Business Prospects
The Detailed Customer
Prospects section of the report provides more detail on exactly where the businesses
in the target areas are located. Business listings for "Attorneys" have been mapped for each
area to represent a proxy for professional commercial entities. Two maps for each target area
are provided (a zoomed out view and a zoomed in view). The attorney sites are shown in each
map as small yellow circles. Additionally, the "zoomed in view" shows other commercial and
government entities, as follows:
Restaurants... light green squares
Hotel/Motel... blue squares
Banks, Schools, Post Offices, Police Stations, Hospitals... purple squares
Various Other Sites (generally associated with retail activity)... red squares

All of these indicators are helpful in understanding where
the centers of commerce are within a target area. There are limits to the
application of this information however. The attorney proxy is just that...a
proxy. Other professional offices should be expected to track with these locations,
but there is not guarantee that all will do so. Also, the software used to display
maps in this report generates the other sites. It is known that the data used to
generate these points is not exhaustive for an area. Accordingly, it would not
necessarily be accurate (for instance) to count up the green squares and conclude
that the total represents the restaurant market. Some (perhaps many) establishments
are not included, but experience with the software indicates that the sites displayed
do represent excellent proxies for those types of establishments.
In addition to the regular information that is provided in the
Dark Zone Report, for an additional charge, we can provide a great deal of very
specific information to augment the standard version of our reports. The
pricing for each report is negotiated upfront and is tailored to meet the
customers exact needs. For example, one additional report available is the
Telecommunication Services Prospecting Report,
which details the propensity to buy
communications bandwidth. We can provide a database of residential
and business customers, complete with contact information, that shows how many
DS0s, DS1s and DS3s have been sold to customers in a given market. We can
also show how much the customers are paying for what type of circuit. This
information can be very helpful when trying to compute how many customers you
might sign up and how much you can charge them per month, but still undercut the
competition.
