As previously announced on July 28, 2008, Motorola signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately-held AirDefense, which will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Motorola integrated into Motorola's Enterprise Mobility business.

09/24/08 U.S. Troops in Iraq Receive Broadband Wireless Internet Access from Aruba Networks and Babylon Telecommunications
Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN) announced that its wireless networks have been deployed by Babylon Telecommunications Inc. at Joint Base Balad in Iraq to provide Internet access to over 20,000 soldiers. Prior to this deployment there was no authorized Internet access at the base for the individual soldiers, making it difficult for troops to stay in touch with loved ones and affecting morale. Babylon Telecommunications was awarded a contract by the Army & Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES) to handle the integration services and provide Internet service at Joint Base Balad, the largest US military base in the region.

Fulfilling a promise of delivering high-speed, wireless broadband while on the go, Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) unveiled its first WiMAX USB adaptor, the USBw 100. This thumb-drive-sized device is available in three versions to connect to WiMAX networks in each of the three bands approved for use around the world -- 2.3GHz, 2.5GHz and 3.5 GHz. The Motorola USBw 100 plugs directly into laptop computers to provide mobile and nomadic wireless broadband connectivity, both indoors and out. It is expected to be available in Q4 2008.
