MoqiZone Holdings Corporation Announces Commercial Launch of 802.16d WiMAX Base Stations in Chengdu China

12/24/09 - MobiZone Holdings Limited announced that 2 wireless broadband base stations with a total of 8 sectors were successfully installed in Chengdu and are now available to service internet cafés in the northeast region of Chengdu city. There are approximately 60 targeted internet cafés within the 5km coverage area. One of these stations is located on top of the main building of Chengdu Electronic Information University. Additionally, the base stations are connected to CERNET (China Education and Research Network), a dedicated fiber optic network covering over 23 million students at 1,800 colleges and universities nationwide.

As part of the initial launch in Chengdu, "Space Online Internet Café" and "Wave-man Internet Café" are two local major internet cafés which have connected to the MoqiZone WiMAX Network. These two cafés have more than 350 sets of computers connected to the network.

"We are extremely excited about the commercial launch of the second city in the roll out of the MoqiZone WiMAX Network. The Chengdu roll-out is the next step in establishing the national footprint for our network. With so many online gamers from the CERNET network, we look to provide the internet cafés a profitable and unique solution for their customers," stated Lawrence Cheung, Chairman and CEO of MoqiZone Holding Corporation.

The Chengdu WiMAX base station installation is part of the continued expansion of the build-out of a private network for Internet Cafés to access MoqiZone games on its flagship B2C online game portal www.53mq.com . 53mq.com is a digital entertainment delivery platform that delivers online content and games to Internet Cafés in China via the proprietary MoqiZone WiMAX Network. The MoqiZone Network provides content delivery to the viral online gaming market and connects game players to online content providers utilizing a national WiMAX network. The MoqiZone Network utilizes a centrally located base station to communicate with multiple wireless signal receivers (CPE) installed on the rooftops of the member cafés of the MoqiZone WiMAX Network. MoqiZone also plans to roll out the network in Shangdong, Yunnan, Hubei, Hunan, Guizhou and Guangxi over the next twelve months.
