Swisscom Tests Broadband Wireless HSPA User Experience With Dyaptive 12/15/09 - Dyaptive Systems Inc. announced the selection and purchase of the Dyaptive DMTS-9000 UMTS/HSPA Network Load and Performance Test System by Swisscom. With every new network software release, this leading Swiss operator will use the DMTS-9000 Test System to characterize Node-B and end-to-end network performance in order to measure end-user experience in a controlled lab environment.
Swisscom's planned benefits in deploying Dyaptive's DMTS-9000 are:
"With rapid growth in new data-hungry devices and services, Swisscom needs to make use of the latest tools available to help us characterize network performance and predict user experience," said Beat Steuri, Head of Test & Integration Mobile Networks, Swisscom. "We searched the market for the most scaleable, upgradeable and easy to use tool for HSPA+ network performance characterization. In our evaluation of complex network test solutions, we concluded that the ease-of-use of Dyaptive's DMTS-Series platform provides us the lowest total cost of ownership." "We are proud to have been selected as a supplier to this leading wireless network operator, helping them to maintain network quality as they experience data usage growth," said Joe Sutherland, President and CEO, Dyaptive Systems Inc. "As complex data scheduling decisions are moving into the Node-B with HSPA technologies, it has become more important to characterize network performance in test-beds that are truly representative of the subscribers end-to-end experience, including the radio interfaces. This will be especially true with the next generation of LTE networks," said Sutherland. |
