NuMobile, Inc. and Kaizen Communications, Inc. Present Broadband Wireless Commerce Technology Strategy for 4.1 Billion Messages per Day Market Place 11/6/09 - NuMobile, Inc. (OTCBB: NUBL) recently announced a
letter of intent (LOI) to acquire a controlling interest in Kaizen
Communications, Inc. of Jacksonville,
Florida.
The two companies have jointly released an on-demand Webcast discussing the acquisition strategy and more on Kaizen's applications and technology for the mobile commerce industry. Kaizen is an application provider for several markets including SMS, also known as text messaging, MMS, which involves multi-media messaging, and IVR, interactive voice response. Kaizen's technology provides real-time information updates to keep consumers informed and provides valuable response and demographic data back to companies. NuMobile is building a portfolio of security and software solutions for the global mobile computing and smartphone market. NuMobile began its roll-up strategy earlier this year and has acquired two companies with proprietary technology focused on mobile network security. NuMobile has also recently announced LOIs to acquire an additional two companies, to include Kaizen. The other acquisition candidate offers identity management solutions for SaaS and Cloud computing. As a result of recent acquisitions, the Company has also announced that it anticipates signing its first substantial contract before the end of 2009 for an estimated $20 million and $8 million gross margin. Kaizen is a technology company specializing in mobile commerce, specifically as an application provider in the SMS/MMS/IVR (texting, video, multi-media, interactive voice response) equation. SMS/MMS/IVR are the interactive communication tools which allow for real time updates for information on anything from alerts, product information, coupons, and messaging, allowing brands and consumers to stay informed and be "in-the-know" on everything that effects their market. Kaizen Communications is headquartered in Jacksonville Florida, with 25 employees located throughout the United States. Mobile marketing is on the rise as companies look to automate campaigns to reach their customers quickly wherever they are, both cost effectively and measurably. According to the CTIA -The Wireless Association®, there are over 276 million wireless subscribers as of June of this year in the US alone. CTIA further cites that cell phone penetration in the US has now exceeded cable TV, web access and home computers, and that text messaging continues to be enormously popular with more than 740 billion text messages carried on carriers' networks during the first half of 2009 -- breaking down to 4.1 billion messages per day. That's nearly double the number from last year, when only 385 billion text messages were reported for the first half of 2008. According to a recent New York Times article, "Text messaging is still a relatively uncluttered and spam-free marketing channel. It's also the one form of communication that many people are tethered to 24/7. Which helps explain why, at a time when in-boxes fill with hundreds of never-opened e-mail messages from direct marketers, 97 percent of all SMS marketing messages are opened (83 percent within one hour), according to the latest cell-carrier research."
