Bell Mobility to Launch Novatel Turbo Stick and MiFi Intelligent Mobile Hotspot on Its New National HSPA Broadband Wireless Network

10/27/09 - Bell announced it will offer both the U998 HSPA+ Turbo Stick and the MiFi 2372 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot from Novatel Wireless (Nasdaq: NVTL) when Bell Mobility's new state-of-the-art HSPA broadband wireless network launches in November.

"These two new leading edge mobile Internet products from Novatel Wireless will take full advantage of Bell Mobility's new HSPA network, which will be the fastest and largest wireless network in Canada when it launches next month," said Adel Bazerghi, Senior Vice President of Products at Bell Mobility. "When paired with a portable computer, the HSPA+ Turbo Stick and MiFi 2372 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot will both deliver fast, easy and reliable mobile access to the Internet across Canada or around the world."

"We're very excited to partner with Bell Mobility to deliver the most advanced wireless data solutions available in Canada," said Rob Hadley, chief marketing officer for Novatel Wireless. "Our HSPA+ family of products offers tri-band (850/1900/2100) support to enable roaming throughout North America, Europe and Asia, and unprecedented speed in a compact form factor. Bell Mobility customers will be the first in Canada to experience freedom from traditional hotspots with the MiFi 2372 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot. MiFi allows users to bring their connectivity virtually anywhere and stay connected to family, friends and coworkers."

Exclusive to Bell Mobility, the U998 Turbo Stick is an easy to use plug and play device compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems. Weighing just 36 grams, the compact U998 delivers unsurpassed speed while doubling as a memory stick, with expandable memory of up to 32 gigabytes.

Canada's first HSPA Intelligent Mobile Hotspot, the portable Novatel Wireless MiFi 2372 offers simultaneous Wi-Fi connectivity for up to five devices or users, allowing the MiFi to go with the client, whether they are in the office or at home. Compact and easy to set up, the MiFi 2372 is compatible with Windows and Mac operating systems and includes a microSD slot for expandable memory of up to 16 gigabytes.
