Ideal for industrial-grade usage, Secura Key's new SK-ACP Advanced Control Panel provides entry and exit management capabilities to office buildings, parking lots and hospitals. By using Lantronix technology, the Secura Key SK-ACP gives customers the additional advantage of either wired or wireless network connectivity that is both affordable and secure.

Working with long-time Lantronix partner Symmetry Electronics Corp., Secura Key selected the XPort and the WiPort because they could easily be integrated into the new panel system and provided the advanced network security features Secura Key required.

"Given the sensitivity of the information stored on our control panel, which ranges from a full database of card holders to access schedules, we needed a simple and extremely secure solution that would enable us to add network connectivity with a minimum of additional engineering time," said Randy Watkins, VP of technology at Secura Key. We were able to pass these benefits on to our customers, creating a win-win solution."

Lantronix' XPort web-enables any device with serial capability in one integrated, compact solution that includes all the required hardware and software components. The WiPort is the wireless networking equivalent, offering secure, end-to-end communications with Advanced Encryption Standards (AES). In addition, Lantronix SmartRoam technology provides seamless mobile connectivity and improved reliability for the wireless connection.
