9/8/09 - Kabira Technologies, Inc. announced that Manish Gupta, vice president of global marketing, will deliver a case study on 'Monetizing the Mobile User Behavior' in Chicago, Illinois on the third day of the 4G World Conference, September 17, 2009 at 4:00 pm. Gupta will be joined for this session by Kittur Nagesh , director of service provider marketing, mobility systems for Cisco.
This session will showcase examples of operators who have implemented intelligent service aware infrastructure solutions, launched new bundled service packages and established creative pricing plans that reflect the value of the service to the end user. It will demonstrate that by taking these actions, these operators have better positioned themselves to monetize the unprecedented growth of mobile data traffic.
"Users are accessing information, practicing personal and business communications, executing commerce transactions and expanding social networks on their mobile devices," said Gupta. "Mobile operators around the globe are delivering tremendous value to the user by investing in 3G and 4G (LTE/WiMAX) infrastructures to support this activity. Nevertheless, the value of this powerful IP-centric infrastructure cannot fully be harnessed by the 'all you can eat' fixed-price or volume-based pricing models," Gupta explained. "We will discuss how forward-thinking operators have understood and met this challenge by leveraging powerful infrastructure software technology implemented on flexible, cost-effective hardware."
The discussion will highlight the technical, business and marketing issues involved, as well as the results of such implementations. Kabira Technologies is a Platinum Sponsor at 4G World, and will also deliver a Solutions Theater Presentation on 'Value-based Pricing,' led by Sukki Sandhar, head of service aware for Kabira.
