Casio Licenses Wi-LAN Wireless Technology 6/23/09 - Wi-LAN Inc. (TSX:WIN) announced that Casio Computer Co., Ltd. (Casio) has signed a multi-year running royalty agreement covering Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and CDMA products. The specific terms of the agreement are confidential. Casio manufactures a wide range of communication and consumer electronics products including mobile wireless handsets, industrial handheld terminals, LCD projectors, watches and digital cameras. This license with Casio brings the total number of license agreements signed so far this quarter to ten and the total number of wireless license agreements signed to date to 69. Wi-LAN, founded in 1992, is a leading technology innovation and licensing company. Wi-LAN has licensed its intellectual property to over 180 companies worldwide. Inventions in our portfolio have been licensed by companies that manufacture or sell a wide range of communication and consumer electronics products including 3G cellular handsets, Wi-Fi-enabled laptops, Wi-Fi/DSL routers, xDSL infrastructure equipment, WiMAX base stations and digital televisions.
