Broadband Antenna Tracking Systems Expands Product Distribution Into Middle East and Africa With MEconnect

5/18/09 - Broadband Antenna Tracking Systems, Inc., (BATS) announced that it has signed an agreement with MEconnect for distribution of BATS' products throughout the Middle East and Africa.

BATS has innovative technology that automatically locates, locks and tracks broadband communication access points with continuous bandwidth optimization. It is ideal for rapid deployment or extension of wireless networks.

"We are anxious to expand our footprint into the Middle East and Africa," said Bob Peterson, BATS Chief Executive Officer. "MEconnect is the premier distributor of satellite and wireless communications equipment in that region. The company has tremendous business acumen, support and service, all of which are valued by its customers."

Among other attributes, BATS technology solves the unique problems resulting from limited technical resources and thereby provides significant cost savings with the elimination of man hours associated with manual redirection. The BTS-2500 system consists of a modular computer-controlled positioning unit along with the hardened Antenna Control Unit (ACU) or Rack Mount Control Unit (RMCU).

"We have had security agencies, governments, oil and gas companies and others ask for a system that has the functionality to quickly establish, maintain and continuously optimize a network connection between two fixed or mobile wireless broadband access points," said Georges El Gemayel, MEconnect Managing Director. "We look forward to getting the BATS solution into their hands."
