Glenn International Chooses Tranzeo Wi-Fi and WiMAX Products for Its Caribbean and Central American Business

1/5/09 - Tranzeo Wireless Technologies Inc. (TSX:TZT) is now represented throughout the Caribbean and Central America by Puerto Rico-based Glenn International, the region's leading supplier of electrical, communications and lighting equipment since 1967.

Glenn International's decision to supply Tranzeo brand products to its network of integrators across Latin America was the result of two years of research evaluating wireless mesh, Wi-Fi and WiMAX equipment manufacturers.

"We were impressed with Tranzeo's solid product, sound engineering and competitive price and felt that Tranzeo had the most robust solution," said Ignacio Diaz, Director of Sales, Glenn International. "Quality was a foremost concern for us because these wireless deployments will often be in environments subject to corrosive moisture, hurricanes and high temperature extremes."

"Tranzeo is honored to be selected by Glenn International on the basis of our product quality. Glenn International already sells $125 million in product each year prior to the introduction of wireless solutions, and we look forward to being an important part of their growth in this space," said Jim Tocher, President and CEO of Tranzeo Wireless Technologies, Inc.

Applications targeted by Glenn International for the Tranzeo radios include wireless mesh solutions as cost-effective infrastructure for video surveillance in historic cities like Old San Juan in Puerto Rico or for Internet connectivity across several privately-owned, exclusive islands. Additionally, WiMAX deployments are in consideration by Glenn International for a program at the Panama Canal.
