Aruba Networks Wins Mobile Star Awards for Broadband Wireless Gear and Network Management Solutions

1/2/09 - Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN) announced that it has been awarded three Gold Star Mobile Star Awards™ by MobileVillage, the 15-year leader in market development and news services about mobile technology, as part of the seventh annual Mobile Star Awards program. The program honors and promotes the top companies, products, deployments, and leaders in mobile and wireless technology. Winners are chosen by subscribers to Go Mobile®, MobileVillage's free email newsletter sent to technology executives, mobile professionals, IT managers, developers, and top tech journalists.

"Selecting the best value is especially important in today's challenging economic climate," said MobileVillage Editor Gary Thayer. "The Gold Star winners stand out based on both their best-in-class technology and value, and Aruba swept every category in which their products were submitted."

Aruba received Gold Star awards for the following products:

  • Enterprise Software: WLAN Management category: AirWave Wireless Management Suite. AMP Version 6 software support WLAN products from more than sixteen different vendors, offers a rich set of features including extensive 802.11n, Help Desk, troubleshooting, and life-cycle management.
  • Network Coverage System Hardware: AP-120 802.11n Access Point Family. The diminutive AP-120 802.11n family of access points offer best-in-class performance, compact size, high security, and low power consumption. To simplify installation and maintenance, Aruba's Adaptive Radio Management technology automatically adapts the 802.11n network to accommodate user behavior, interference, and nearby networks.
  • Portable Remote Connectivity Gear Hardware: Remote Access Point. Ideally suited for small remote offices, home offices, telecommuters, mobile executives, and business continuity applications, the solution securely delivers the corporate network to remote users without requiring client software to install or manage. Using Ethernet or broadband cellular, the Remote Access Point can be used to network users anywhere -- at home, on the road, or in satellite offices.
