Raketu Adds VoIP Support for Google G1 Android Mobile to List of Supported iPhone, Nokia, WinMobile and BlackBerry Mobiles

12/10/08 - Raketu released its Raketu Mobile for Google's G1 Android mobile. The new service allows anyone with a G1 using roaming data services or WiFi to connect to the Raketu mobile services to make phone-to-phone calls, send sms-text messages and email, send and receive instant messages, store and share pictures, and more, all without a download.

The new service is in addition to Raketu's existing communications, information, entertainment and social networking features where users can make international calls computer-to-computer, computer-to-phone and phone-to-phone, send sms-text messages, instant message, and email totally free or at Raketu's ultra-low rates -- all from any device, anywhere in the world, mobile or desktop/laptop.

"Raketu's release for Google's G1 mobile will allow users the ability to access free or lowest cost communications services from anywhere in the world," said Greg Parker, president and CEO of Raketu. "Adding support for the new Google G1 mobile continues Raketu's focus of providing free or lowest cost communications and entertainment services to all mobile devices."

Raketu's new service for the G1 is available immediately and allows users to make phone-to-phone calls, send sms-texts and email, instant message and store and share pictures with other Raketu users or anyone. Current Raketu users can start using the new services immediately, and new users can sign up at http://Android.Raketu.com.
