Tranzeo Signs With Singapore Manufacturer to Produce Broadband Wireless WiMAX Radios for Asia

12/10/09 - Tranzeo Wireless Technologies Inc. (TSX:TZT), a premier manufacturer of wireless broadband and WiMAX communication systems, has signed an agreement with SIIX, a leading contract manufacturer with worldwide operations, to manufacture the Tranzeo WiMAX product line at the SIIX facility in Batam, Indonesia.

The agreement positions Tranzeo to supply WiMAX radios throughout Asia including Indonesia where the government is close to releasing spectrum at 2.3GHz and 3.3GHz specifically for WiMAX broadband services. Indonesia will emphasize local manufacturing to spur the country's economic development and the relationship with SIIX contributes local content to Tranzeo's product line.

"Asia is a significant component of our WiMAX strategy. There are several countries in the region that have plans to rapidly adopt fixed WiMAX for broadband wireless access. Tranzeo is in an excellent position to serve these markets and partnering with SIIX is an important aspect of our plan," said Jim Tocher, President and CEO of Tranzeo.

From an operational standpoint, Tranzeo is duplicating its manufacturing processes at SIIX's Batam facility to add additional capacity for its WiMAX product line, to improve its business continuity process, and to better serve the Asia market place with local manufacturing and support, shorter delivery times, and reduced shipping costs.
