Aruba Networks Releases Three New Reference Guides for Network Integrators

12/9/08 - Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN) announced the availability of three new reference guides for network integrators that are designing and deploying Aruba solutions. The best practices architectures are intended to reduce the time and expense associated with successfully planning and deploying large campus wireless LANs, role-based network access control on wired networks, and retail applications.

The three new documents include:
  • Campus Wireless Networks Validated Reference Design v3.3: addresses enterprise, higher education, healthcare and other typical campus deployments involving thousands of users spread across different buildings that are joined by SONET, MPLS or other high-speed, high-availability backbones;
  • Wired Multiplexer (MUX) Validated Reference Design v3.3: outlines how to enable wired networks to benefit from Aruba's role-based security features. Targeted at customers' common areas like conference rooms and auditoriums, the guide explains how to provide different levels of security at different times to transient employee and guest users that are accessing the same Ethernet jack;
  • Retail Wireless Networks Validated Reference Design v3.3: provides a validated reference design for common retail facility types including large footprint stores, small footprint stores, warehouses, distribution centers, fulfillment centers, and commonly encountered hardened areas such as cold storage and outdoor yards.

"Aruba's reference guides are intended to lower installation and maintenance costs by providing validated reference designs that integrators can use to plan, deploy, and support Aruba wireless LANs and security solutions," said Chuck Lukaszewski, Aruba's Director of Professional Services. "Our validated reference designs include product recommendations, network layouts, configuration procedures, and deployment best practices for common customer applications. Each Aruba design is thoroughly tested in a lab environment by Aruba engineers. By using these proven designs, our customers are able to rapidly deploy Aruba solutions with the assurance that they will perform and scale as expected."
