11/10/08 - AvaLAN Wireless Systems Incorporated, an innovative leader in the long range industrial wireless Ethernet market, has appointed Matthew S. Nelson to be their new CEO and President. Matt Nelson brings a powerful combination of business and technical acumen in the High-technology industry with over 20 years of innovative business, technical expertise and global market experience.

Since inception, AvaLAN Wireless has been founder-driven by Michael Derby over the previous 5 years and AvaLAN has had compound annual growth rate of over 50% and remains well positioned for continued growth in the future. AvaLAN has established itself as an industry leader with over 20,000 industrial long-range wireless Ethernet devices already deployed for surveillance, security, access control, and digital signage.

Mr. Nelson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems and a Master of Business Administration from Regis University in Colorado.
