Altair Semiconductor in Live Low Power CPE Shootout at WiMAX World Chicago

9/30/08 - Altair Semiconductor and other leading WiMAX chipset vendors to show live measurements of their low power broadband wireless solutions and to demonstrate how to best meet the low power challenge.

Oded Melamed, Co-founder and CEO and Eran Eshed, Co-founder and Vice President of Business Development and Marketing will join their peers on a live event at WiMAX World 2008 in Chicago.

The panel, "WiMAX Live -- Low Power CPE Chipset Shootout," will cover a variety of topics including:

The importance of mobile device power consumption in mobile
WiMAX-enabled handheld devices
Mobile WiMAX chipsets for mobile devices, including handsets, ultra
mobile PCS and other consumer electronic devices
Live "Shootout" by leading chipset vendors, including Altair
Semiconductor, to show live power consumption measurements
Details on how these vendors are meeting the low power challenge

Melamed and Eshed will discuss the details and differentiators of Altair Semiconductor's ALT2150, the world's smallest and most power-efficient mobile WiMAX processor. In addition, the executives will share their insights and expertise on the WiMAX market, including what consumers can expect from chipsets and mobile WiMAX-enabled devices in the future.
