WPCS Receives $8 Million in New Broadband Wireless Networking Projects

7/15/08 - WPCS International Incorporated (Nasdaq: WPCS), a leader in design-build wireless engineering services for specialty communication systems and wireless infrastructure, has announced that, through its subsidiaries, it has received approximately $8 million in new projects.

The contracts include projects for Simplex Grinnell, Crown Castle, CB Richard Ellis, Trane, Somerset Medical Center, St. Francis Medical Center, Florida Department of Transportation, Northern Colorado Water Conservatory District and the Millville and Ocean Township, New Jersey Police Departments.

WPCS was also awarded a wireless design consulting project from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for the new Freedom Tower at the World Trade Center site that is scheduled for completion in 2010. In addition, the company was awarded eight wind energy infrastructure projects from Global Energy Concepts for the deployment of wireless meteorological towers.

The international segment for WPCS remains active. Included in these new contract awards are projects in Australia for McDonald's Corporation, Chancellor State College, Livingston College, Beavis & Bartels and for the Kippa-Ring Shopping Center. In China, the company received new projects from Xuzhou Gas Company, Shenzhen Gas Company and Liyang Pipeline Company in Jiangsu Province.

Richard Schubiger, Executive Vice President of WPCS, commented, "WPCS continues to generate project awards from diverse high growth sectors including public safety, healthcare and alternative energy. These sectors, along with our international expansion efforts in Australia and China are creating opportunities to build value for our shareholders."
