Redline and Tranzeo Collaborate on Broadband Wireless Interoperability for WiMAX Product Lines

7/7/08 - Redline Communications Group Inc. (TSX and AIM: RDL), a leading provider of WiMAX broadband wireless products, announced the addition of the Tranzeo Wireless Technologies' (TSX:TZT) WiMAX subscriber units to the Redline Ecosystem Verification (REV) program. The Tranzeo products have achieved Silver status in the REV program which is designed to accelerate the deployment of interoperable WiMAX networks around the globe. www.tranzeo.com www.redlinecommunications.com

"Redline is a recognized leader in the WiMAX industry, for its technology, system performance, and commitment to furthering interoperability among the WiMAX ecosystem," said Dave Gelvin, President Tranzeo Wireless, USA. "We are excited to be part of Redline's REV program and to offer operators a greater selection of interoperable WiMAX subscriber units that support their customers' requirements, and enable a strong return on investment."

REV interoperability testing confirms that carriers can incorporate Redline's RedMAX AN-100U and AN-100UX WiMAX Forum Certified base stations and Tranzeo's 3.5GHz WiMAX TR-WMX-3.5 outdoor modems in their WiMAX networks. The REV program augments the testing for WiMAX Forum Certification, verifying that carriers can achieve connectivity between both the Redline infrastructure and Tranzeo devices in their network.

"Redline is one of the first companies to develop a program to test the interoperability of WiMAX products. This program really focuses on offering a much broader range of WiMAX certified products to carriers. It also helps to drive down the price of WiMAX, making it a more cost effective option to carriers worldwide," says Kevin Suitor, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, Redline Communications.

The Redline Ecosystem Verification program verifies connectivity and performance between Redline's RedMAX and RedMAX 4C Mobile WiMAX products and other WiMAX devices, enabling carriers to accelerate the deployment interoperable networks. The program also includes Redline's RedCONNEX and RedACCESS families, which are used by carriers around the world to support high-bandwidth voice, video and data services. Several WiMAX equipment companies, including base station, customer premise equipment and chip manufacturers, as well as WiMAX peripherals vendors, are now taking part in the REV program.
