Future Technologies Adds Redline Broadband Wireless Networking Products to Federal GSA Contract

6/11/08 - Redline Communications Group Inc. (TSX and AIM: RDL), a leading provider of WiMAX and broadband wireless infrastructure products, announced that Redline's broadband wireless products have been added to the Federal GSA Contract Schedule under the IT Solutions and Electronics category.

In addition, Future Technologies, a Redline Certified GOLD Partner, has been granted the GSA Contract for distribution and services for Federal agency deployments of Redline's products.

Future Technologies spearheaded the application and approval process for the Redline products. The listings on the GSA Contract Schedule, facilitates the process for Federal agencies to procure Redline's products via Future Technologies.

The Redline products that were awarded the GSA contract schedule include the RedMAX family of WiMAX Forum Certified products as well as the RedCONNEX and RedACCESS families of broadband wireless infrastructure products. The RedMAX products are the first WiMAX products to be listed on the Federal GSA Contract.

"With the addition of the Redline products to the GSA Schedule, federal, state and local government procurement officers will now have the opportunity and easy access, to the most advanced, performance driven WiMAX certified products on the market," says Nino Canu, President of Future Technologies.

"Future Technologies has deployed numerous successful projects for military operations, and is an active partner in the government sector," says Kevin Suitor, VP of Marketing and Business Development, Redline Communications. "This once again demonstrates that Redline's products deliver the reliability, security and level of encryption required by federally regulated organizations."

GSA (General Services Administration) is a centralized procurement management agency that maintains a list of approved products and service providers on behalf of federal agencies. GSA facilitates a reliable and easy buying process based on products and services that have been approved for reliability, safety and credibility.

Redline is recognized worldwide as a leader in the deployment of WiMAX Forum Certified products. Redline's RedMAX(TM) family of WiMAX solutions was the world's first complete system to receive the WiMAX Forum Certified mark for conformance to the WiMAX standards for performance and interoperability. Redline's new RedMAX 4C Mobile WiMAX products have been submitted for certification to the mobile WiMAX standards Redline currently has more than 160 WiMAX deployments, of which 58 are commercial, revenue-generating networks.

Redline's carrier-class RedMAX Base Station (AN-100U) supports voice, video, and prioritized data traffic, enabling long-range, high-capacity wireless broadband networks. Redline's WiMAX products also include the RedMAX Indoor Subscriber Unit (SU-I) and Outdoor Subscriber Unit (SU-O) designed for enterprise and residential services. The RedMAX Management Suite enables operators to monitor and control the network, ensuring high service availability. Redline is maintaining its WiMAX leadership with the expansion of its RedMAX family to include products for additional frequency bands, applications and standards.

Redline's award-winning RedCONNEX and RedACCESS families of broadband wireless infrastructure products can be deployed for fixed and mobile wireless access and backhaul applications to deliver an unmatched combination of range, capacity, security, and reliability, even in the most challenging environments. Redline's 'best-in-class' data rates and spectral efficiencies conserve valuable spectrum and reduce the costs of providing high-performance access. Redline's technology advantage includes several patents for building OFDM-based wireless broadband systems that deliver robust, extreme-distance/high-bandwidth performance. With built-in security encryption, and other advantages, Redline products provide the reliability necessary for future growth.
