D-Link Now Shipping 3000 Customizable Skins for Broadband Wireless Networking Equipment

5/1/08 - D-Link is now shipping personalized electronic device skins for its most popular home networking products, including Wi-Fi routers and storage enclosures. Consumers now can customize their home networking gear with some 3000 designs, including fashion designs, sports teams, colleges, tattoo art, initials, symbols, and corporate logos, as well as the ability to customize a skin with personal photos using a custom design tool from Skinit Inc., the leading provider of personalization solutions for consumer electronic devices.

The skins are personalized, high-quality vinyl covers specially designed to fit a broad variety of consumer electronic devices. Initially, D-Link and Skinit are providing personalization solutions for the following routers:

-- D-Link® DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router
-- DIR-625 RangeBooster N Router
-- DIR-615 Wireless N Router
-- DGL-4500 Xtreme N Gaming Router
-- DGL-4300 Wireless Gaming Router
-- DGL-4100 Gaming Router
-- DNS-323 Network Storage Enclosure

"Routers have become ubiquitous in both the home and the workplace, so we believe our customers will embrace the unique form of personalization that Skinit products offer," said Daniel Kelley, senior director of marketing, D-Link Systems, Inc. "We've taken the most powerful home networking products on the market and combined them with a fun product that enables our customers to make what was once a necessary addition to their desk into an extension of their personal style."

The skins are available via the web portal www.dlinkskins.com which provides access to Skinit's entire collection of over 3000 premium designs and licensed digital images, as well as user-friendly personalization tools. Skins for D-Link's routers start at $14.95 (MSRP) and are available immediately.
