AT&T U-verse TV Tunes Into Personalized Channel of Online Photos From Flickr 04/03/08 - AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) announced the launch of AT&T Online Photos from Flickr on AT&T U-verse(SM) TV. Customers can now simply and conveniently watch slide shows and browse their online photos from flickr.com right on their U-verse TV screens. AT&T is the only video service provider to offer an integrated online photos channel, and U-verse TV and high speed Internet customers can enjoy this feature at no extra charge. Flickr, a Yahoo! photo-sharing service, is one of the world's leading online photo-sharing communities, where users can upload, store, share and tag digital photos. "AT&T Online Photos from Flickr is yet another example of the benefits of U-verse TV," said Brian Buffington, AT&T executive director of U-verse marketing. "Because of the powerful integration that Internet Protocol (IP) enables, we're able to bring customers' online photos to their TV, without any hassle. We make it easy to display and enjoy your favorite memories from the comfort of your couch, on the biggest screen in the house." Customers can access their online photos by tuning to Channel 91 or from the U-verse TV menu. Customers will then select from their Flickr photo sets, which are automatically available from their master AT&T High Speed Internet account, and they can browse photos or start a slide show. AT&T Online Photos from Flickr is the latest interactive feature added to U-verse TV. AT&T has also rolled out AT&T U-bar, which provides customizable weather, stock, sports and traffic information; YELLOWPAGES.COM TV, which lets customers easily search for local businesses and other information via their TV screen; and AT&T Yahoo! Games. "We're continuing to enhance AT&T U-verse TV, and that will never change," said Buffington. "We're always looking at new ways to bring the best of IP to our customers." AT&T is the only national provider to offer a 100 percent Internet Protocol-based television (IPTV) service, making AT&T U-verse TV one of the most advanced television offerings available anywhere. AT&T is deploying next-generation video services, including AT&T U-verse TV, as part of its mission to connect people with their world, everywhere they live and work, and do it better than anyone else. |
