Wi-LAN Founder Dr. Hatim Zaghloul Steps Down as New Patent Troller Management Team Sues Its Way Toward Profitability 3/4/08 - Wi-LAN Inc. (TSX:WIN) announced that Dr. Hatim Zaghloul, the Company's co-founder, will be stepping down from the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors and will not be standing for re-election to the Board at the Company's 2008 annual and special meeting of shareholders to be held on March 27, 2008. Dr. Zaghloul will continue to work with the Company as Chair of its Technical Advisory Committee.
From 1995 to 2004, Mr. Bramson was President of VAI Patent Management Corp. Prior to 1995, Mr. Bramson held positions as Chief Executive Officer of InterDigital Patents Corporation, Vice President and General Patent and Technology Counsel of Unisys Corporation, Head of the Computer and Technology Law Group of Schnader, Harrison, Segal & Lewis LLP and Licensing Counsel for Abbott Laboratories. For twenty five years, Mr. Bramson was an Adjunct Professor, teaching courses in Patent Law, Computer Law and Licensing Law at Temple Law School, Rutgers Law School and Villanova Law School. During his career, Mr. Bramson has also served as a patent examiner with the United States Patent Office.
