Wireless Internet Service Provider Expands Broadband Wireless Access Footprint to Calaveras County

1/21/08 - Rapid Link, Inc. (OTCBB: RPID ), a leading provider of broadband and communications services to rural and niche markets, announced plans to offer high speed wireless broadband internet access within Calaveras County through an exclusive, long-term agreement with The Wallace Community Services District. Rapid Link will deploy internet access points atop the Wallace District water tower which is visible up to 50 miles from the surrounding countryside.

Rapid Link plans to offer its services throughout the county starting in the Valley Springs and Wallace areas, expanding east and south to meet customer demand. Rapid Link plans to construct approximately 20 towers in the county over the next year.

Eric Shippam, Rapid Link's Director of Broadband Services, said today, "This is the first giant step in the deployment of a carrier class, high speed internet network to everyone in Calaveras County, which is especially helpful to those outside the Cable and DSL service areas, and it will greatly improve the quality of life on the internet for many Calaveras residents. Working with the Utility District ensures an excellent, secure location, with enough visibility to reach the western portion of Calaveras immediately. We are very pleased to have the partnership of the Wallace Community Services District in this effort and congratulate them on a forward thinking strategy of service to their district subscribers."

Chris Canfield, President of Rapid Link, added, "Eric and his team have done a terrific job of providing wireless broadband internet service in Amador County for over ten years. We are all excited to see this expansion into the sizable neighboring market of Calaveras County."

Rapid Link is a "Communications Services" company providing various forms of voice and data transport service to wholesale and retail customers around the world. The Company's retail product focus involves supplying bundled broadband wireless internet services, with an emphasis on key niche markets. These niche markets include targeted rural geographic locations, specific ethnic demographics, and the United States military.

The Company's strategy involves offering broadband access via its own facilities to ensure reliable delivery of its content without compromise from incumbent regional cable monopolies. Rapid Link strives to serve its customers' unique communications needs with a focus on cost efficiency and quality of service. Through the Company's operating headquarters in Omaha, NE, Rapid Link supports customers with in-house multi lingual customer service, proprietary scalable billing systems, and experienced communications professionals.
