Hopling Technologies Announces New Engineering Directors to Enhance Municipal Mesh Networking Business

12/18/06 - Hopling Technologies announced that it has named Rudger van Brenk Director Research and Bas Muns Director Engineering, to strengthen the company’s leading position as a municipal mesh networking company.

  • Hopling Technologies has selected two of its senior managers to head its newly created research and engineering units.
  • Effective immediately, Bas Muns will serve as Director of Hopling Technologies’ engineering unit and Rudger van Brenk as Director of the research unit, and both will join the Management Board of Hopling Technologies.

After two years as a key member of Hopling Technologies’ core development team leading the mesh network development, Bas Muns will take on the position of Director Engineering, responsible for developing core intellectual property, including the design and development of the company’s HopWARE Mesh Architecture (HMA), which incorporates the sophisticated Hopling Mesh Protocol (HMP) and the unique Hopling Discovery Protocol (HDP).

As the new Director Research Rudger van Brenk will oversee Hopling Technologies prolific research unit dedicated to enhance wireless technology. Under Rudger’s leadership the company will focus on tightly linking its research innovation with the company’s world-class IP-based wireless mesh network development operations. Rudger also becomes responsible for Hopling Technologies design and advanced Mobile WiMAX development.
