| 2/9/05 - Airpath Wireless, Inc. announced George McHorney as its Chief Operating and Financial Officer.
As COO / CFO McHorney is responsible for the operational functions of the company, including marketing, engineering, customer support, finance and administration. Additionally, McHorney will drive the corporate planning process and work with the executive team to implement corporate plans and initiatives.
"George brings to Airpath the full-range of financial and executive management experience that can be immediately leveraged to align the business with the fast growth we are experiencing, and from that foundation, take the company to the next level in terms of expanding our global revenue," said Todd Myers, CEO and Founder of Airpath.
McHorney brings over 30 years of financial, M&A, and operational experience to Airpath. McHorney also has significant experience in working with venture-backed companies and managed multiple successful exits through acquisitions and the IPO of WorkGroup Technology Corporation.

Prior to joining Airpath, McHorney was the CFO and Vice President of Operations at Legra Systems, Inc., a wireless switch company, where he was responsible for finance, administration and manufacturing. McHorney successfully facilitated the sale of Legra in 2004. Prior to that, he was the CFO and interim CEO at Sepaton, Inc., a data protection company. At Sepaton, he led a team that restructured the company, defined and implemented a new strategic direction. Prior to this experience, he held positions at top technology companies including WorkGroup and large systems providers such as Data General and Wang Laboratories, where he held a variety of line and staff positions.
McHorney holds a bachelors degree in computer science and business administration from the State University of New York at Oswego, and a masters in business administration from Babson College.
