Agility Solutions Corp has established a unique $10 million private investment fund specifically to provide funding for leasing wireless broadband equipment to Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs). The fund has already provided more than $100,000 to several Wireless ISPs, including Canyon Broadband, to help ease the capital constraints of the maturing wireless broadband industry.
Robert Bratter, Bill MacNamara and Hal Hayden teamed up earlier this year to form Agility Solutions Corp., a consulting and finance resource for WISPs.
Robert Bratter, an investor in two Arizona WISPs, Commspeed and Canyon Broadband, saw the critical need for these services for early- to mid-stage wireless broadband companies.
Bratter then recruited MacNamara, also a WISP veteran who founded Big Sky Internet, and Hayden, a technology finance expert who founded Priority Leasing, to form a team that has the combined experience necessary to help broadband wireless companies achieve growth and profitability.
“Until we founded this company, there were no lenders that had the right skillset or expertise and thus were not willing to take on the higher risk of the WISP market, says Robert Bratter, CEO of Agility Solutions. "However, since several of our founders have been in the wireless ISP for quite some time, we have a good understanding of what it takes to create a successful WISP business and we are now supplied with sufficient capital to provide the proper financing needed to help WISPs expand their businesses.”
Bill MacNamara, Vice President of Business Development, added, “Virtually all of the consulting available in this market is allocated for the technical side of the business. For the first time, we can now help address financial and marketing issues for WISPs.”
WISPs that would like to expand their businesses, but need financial assistance, are strongly encouraged to contact Agility Solutions Corp. at (480) 422-5404. Agility Solutions executives are confident that they can design a financial package that will help all WISPs significantly expand their coverage areas.
