Spectrum Wireless, Inc. Commemorates Four Year Anniversary

BELLEVUE, Wash., Sept. 17, 2001 - Spectrum Wireless, Inc. today announced its commemoration of four years in business since the inception of the company.

As the company began in Anchorage, Alaska as a wireless ISP, the organization has gone through a major transformation, developing into an infrastructure provider of wireless IP equipment. Spectrum still operates a wireless ISP network in Anchorage, but utilizes the network primarily as a test bed for product development and enhancements to its own product line. The test bed network facilitates the company in focusing on its core competencies of developing wireless IP routers and deployment systems that incorporate routing at the edge capabilities for service providers and network operators.

"We're thrilled to celebrate our four year anniversary," said Adam Sewall, Spectrum Wireless' CEO. "We are further embarking as an embedded systems company enabling IP routing intelligence into various network and edge devices. This has expanded our reach and offerings to grow beyond a small regional company into a global company focused on multiple markets and regions. The market acceptance which we have seen combined with successful long term relationships speaks well to the employees and business partners that continue to make our success possible."
