"We are extremely enthusiastic to welcome Ms. Young as a member of our Board. Her executive marketing leadership in the Asia Pacific region will be particularly beneficial as Netro pursues opportunities in China and the Asian-Pacific arena," said Gideon Ben-Efraim, chairman and CEO of Netro Corporation. Mr. Ben-Efraim continued, "we thank Bob for his outstanding contributions and look forward to maintaining a close relationship with him."
Commenting on her appointment, Ms. Young stated, "As the demand for telecommunications infrastructure explodes in Asia, I see great potential for Netro's broadband wireless solutions. Netro has already established a set of valuable relationships in Asia, and I look forward to contributing further to that process. The Netro solution is well suited for the Asian marketplace and with the right marketing and sales infrastructure, can achieve the leadership position in Asia that it already holds in Europe and Latin America."
