John Gump Named Director of Sales and Business Development

    Newport, R.I., February 7, 2002 - TowerStream of Newport, Rhode Island, announced today the addition of John Gump to its senior management team as Director of Sales and Business Development. TowerStream, the leading fixed wireless broadband provider in the Northeast, serves the greater Boston and Providence markets and is aggressively expanding coverage throughout the region.

    Gump comes to TowerStream from Digital Broadband Communications, a DSL provider based in Waltham, MA, where he served as Vice President. In helping shepherd the growth of the company since start-up, Mr. Gump managed the enterprise sales team and marketed the company’s ATM-based broadband network services.

    Before he joined Digital Broadband Communications, Gump was a Senior Account Manager at USTeleCenters, where he marketed telecom services and consistently ranked among the company’s top salespeople.
