Names VP of Worldwide Sales;
Willard E. Thomas to Spearhead Market Rollout of
New AirFortress WLAN Security System
TAMPA, Fla.,
Feb. 11, 2002--Fortress Technologies, a leading global provider of wireless
and wireline network security solutions, has named Willard E. Thomas senior vice
president of worldwide sales. The appointment of this former RSA sales executive
underscores Fortress' commitment to aggressively rollout its new AirFortress(TM)
Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) security system.
Mr. Thomas has solid experience in sales and sales management for network security, software and communications companies including RSA Security, COMPUWARE, Novell and IBM. In his most recent position, he was director of North American sales for RSA, a leading internet/network security firm, responsible for developer sales in the Western U.S.
Mr. Thomas will oversee the two-pronged marketing strategy for AirFortress, which includes branded product sales through a network of channel partners as well as a technology licensing model focused on OEM or private label relationships. AirFortress is a suite of hardware and software wireless security products designed to work seamlessly together to secure WLANs.
Mr. Thomas brings to Fortress expertise in account development and management, direct sales, strategic planning, competitive analysis and negotiating software licensing and OEM agreements.
