Navini Networks' Wireless Broadband
Freedom Comes to Pennsylvania

Tech-Savvy Indiana Univeristy of Pennysylvania Students
First to Experience Initial Deployment of Wireless Broadband

YourInter.Net, a regional ISP in Indiana, Pennsylvania which is owned by Indiana Printing and Publishing is offering wireless broadband access to its customers using technology supplied by Navini Networks, Inc. the leading provider of zero-install(TM) nomadic wireless broadband technology. The Navini Ripwave(TM) 2.4 GHz system deployment covers the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) campus, all of Indiana Borough, and parts of White Township. This is one of the first commercial deployments of a non-line-of-sight, zero-install wireless broadband network using Navini equipment, and follows a successful technology trial.

"This initial deployment is aimed at the heart of Indiana, Pennsylvania's tech-savvy market sector – the students of IUP and surrounding businesses," said Joe Geary, general manager of YourInter.Net. "In our short operational time, we've found that these users are eager adopters of the wireless broadband service because of its zero-install simplicity and speeds. In addition, Navini's solution is easily deployable within our other market areas as demand for the service grows."

The Indiana County Chamber of Commerce office has used the wireless broadband service for about a month. "This is an economical choice for our offices," said the Chamber's Executive Director Dana Henry, "as we only need one subscription for the network instead of needing a dial-up connection from each workstation." Computer consultant Don Coleman installed the wireless broadband service on a four-computer network at St. Bernard Church. "The reception has been excellent," Coleman said. "Data rates are better than DSL or cable."

"In sub-optimal conditions - in an area with heavy foliage, using unlicensed spectrum - we have been able to sustain broadband rates at distances up to 3-5 miles," said Sai Subramanian, vice president of product management and strategic marketing for Navini Networks. "We anticipate that this deployment will generate a hunger for this type of wireless broadband from within the Indiana, Pennsylvania community and beyond."

Navini's 2.4 GHz Ripwave products deliver multi-megabit broadband data rates within cellular ranges and use adaptive phased-array smart antenna technology to increase system power and minimize interference in order to maximize coverage and capacity.

    About YourInter.Net
Based in Indiana, PA, Your Internet Service (YIS) is the Internet division of Indiana Printing and Publishing Company (IPP). IPP was founded in 1890 and remains under the ownership and management of descendants of the same family. It publishes the only daily newspaper in Indiana County and operates two large printing divisions in addition to its Internet division. YIS has the largest customer base of all ISPs in Indiana County and provides not only dial-up access within the county but also throughout the US under several agreements with national providers. It also provides web hosting, web design, point-to-point wireless and other Internet services.

     About Navini Networks
Headquartered in Richardson, Texas, the heart of the Telecom Corridor, Navini Networks offers patented wireless broadband technology that addresses the world's need and desire for high-speed Internet access. Navini provides nomadic, zero-install, non-line-of-sight infrastructure to allow for anytime, anywhere Web access. Navini Networks' Ripwave products consist of a small customer modem, base station, and element management system (EMS) and run in the 2.4 GHz ISM and 2.6 MMDS spectrums. Navini's solution results in a price/performance combination that is superior to other broadband offerings in the marketplace. To date, Navini has received $66.5 million in funding from top-tier investors such as Austin Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Sternhill Partners, and Granite Ventures.
