Varda Goldman Joins PCTEL as PCTEL, Inc. (Nasdaq: PCTI), a
leading provider of Internet access products and 802.11 mobility software,
announced today that Varda Goldman accepted the position of vice president
and
general counsel. This is a new position at PCTEL.
"We are fortunate to have attracted an attorney with Varda's experience
in
the high-tech arena," said Marty Singer, PCTEL's Chairman and CEO. "She has
a
strong history in the types of transactions related to our business and we
are
all delighted to have her on board."
Before joining PCTEL, Goldman served as a vice president and director of
legal services for Motorola's growing Commercial Government and Industrial
Solutions Sector, prior to announcing her retirement earlier this year. She
served in a similar capacity in other Motorola businesses, including its
Cellular Infrastructure Group. Goldman began her career at Motorola in 1977
supporting the automotive and electronics group. She received her
undergraduate and law degrees at Northwestern University and DePaul
University
College of Law, respectively.
"It is very exciting to be part of a growing and highly-focused
company,"
said Goldman, PCTEL's new general counsel. "I am looking forward to working
with Singer and his talented team and to making important contributions to
an
innovative company," she added. About PCTEL # # #
