Gemtek Systems P-360 Hot-Spot-in-a-Box on Sale Worldwide
Stand-Alone Hot Spot Solution Brings Carrier-Grade Wi-Fi to Small Venues The P-360 provides a full hot spot solution that integrates the
functionality of an Access Controller with the flexibility of a
low-cost Access Point. A single-location solution, Gemtek Systems'
P-360 Hot-Spot-in-a-Box is one element in a full line of Public Access
network solutions designed to give telcos, (wireless) ISPs and mobile
phone operators entry into the high-speed Public Access business with
professional carrier-grade Wi-Fi installations. Gemtek Systems' broad
product portfolio includes classes of products such as clients, access
points, access controllers and network management software. All Gemtek Systems' products are designed expressly for use in
Public Access hot spots, and feature the maximum performance,
interoperability and dependability demanded by operators to meet their
present and future needs. Gemtek Systems products comply with the
Wi-Fi Alliance WISPr recommendations. "It's easy to see that our products are intended for Public Access
use. For example, we systematically include Power-over-Ethernet (PoE)
in all of our designs," commented Dr. Francis "Butch" Anton, CTO of
Gemtek Systems. "We know it's important to help operators trim down
both installation and running costs. That's why we've included secure
remote-management capability, integrated diversity antennae for
flexibility and internalized mountings for durability and anti-theft
protection." Gemtek Systems' P-360 Hot-Spot-in-a-Box supports all Wi-Fi
certified client devices -- the industry standard. The P-360
incorporates a wireless access point as well as an access controller,
or subscriber gateway, to manage authentication, accounting and
routing to the Internet or to an operator's central server. In terms
of security, Gemtek Systems' P-360 supports multiple secure
authentication methods such as standard Web browser login, 802.1x/EAP
with certificates or SIM cards. Whether deployed in train stations, airports, or cities, Gemtek
Systems' solutions are optimized for Wi-Fi Public Access needs and
ensure cost-effective deployment in both small ("single cell") and
large ("hot-zones") areas. About Gemtek Systems # # #
