New Version of Funk Software's Steel-Belted Radius
Enhancements Meet the Requirements of Large ISPs, Maximize ROI
Funk Software, developer of the market-leading Steel-Belted Radius
family of RADIUS/AAA servers, today announced an upgrade to the
Steel-Belted Radius Port Allocation System (PAS) that enables carriers
to guarantee access to a fixed number of ports to their service
provider customers, while still maximizing the usage of all their
ports. PAS is an add-on module to Steel-Belted Radius/Service Provider
Edition, Funk Software's high-capacity, high-reliability RADIUS/AAA
solution for wholesale, outsource, wireless, broadband, and roaming
service providers. PAS enables carriers to allocate, track, and manage
port usage and availability across all their service provider
customers to maximize profitability and ensure adherence to SLAs. "Wholesalers need to be able to guarantee access to a certain
number of ports to each of their service provider customers -
regardless of whatever else is happening on the network," said Joe
Ryan, vice president of Funk Software. "Not only does the new version
of PAS satisfy this requirement, but it also enables carriers to
maximize their ROI through efficient allocation of ports, allowing
them to structure and price port access optimally for their business
model." The enhanced port allocation features of PAS 4.0 enable carriers
