FSCi Inc. and Nvisicom
Form Partnership
to Heighten Awareness of Wireless LANs
Creation
of Web-Based Information Portal Is Designed to Promote
Emerging Mobility Solutions For Home and Small Business
Markets
COSTA MESA,
Calif., April 10, 2002 - Nvisicom Networks Inc. (www.nvisicom.com),
a leading provider of wireless computing solutions and services, announced that
it has signed a partnership agreement with FSCi Inc. (www.fscigroup.com)
to jointly market wireless local area networks (LANs) with a number of
technology solutions, including high-speed Internet access.
The partnership
launched a new Web-based information portal, www.EverythingWirelessLAN.com,
that is designed to provide wireless LAN products, sales and service information
through FSCi's customers and more than 75,000 monthly Web visitors.
"Many of
our customers have inquired about wireless LAN technology, but simply did not
know where to find reliable information," said Dave Roekle, CEO, FSCI.
"Nvisicom's expertise in this emerging market, coupled with our expertise
in marketing and selling high-speed Internet and technology solutions, makes for
a true value-added relationship. Together we will educate and penetrate the home
and small business markets with various product offerings that combine the
performance of high-speed Internet access with the mobility of wireless
LANs."
The wireless
LAN market is expected to reach $5 billion in the next few years according to
analyst firm Cahners In-Stat. Wireless LANs enable computer users the mobility
and flexibility to remain connected to a network or the Internet anywhere in a
home, office or campus.
"The
wireless LAN industry has been in need of an information source that highlights
services and solutions, as opposed to just product issues," said Randel
Maestre, president, Nvisicom Networks. "The myths of wireless LANs need to
be dispelled before more widespread acceptance and adoption occurs. This
partnership with FSCi will undoubtedly be a catalyst in educating the general
public on the realities and the benefits of networks that can set you
free."
About
Nvisicom
Nvisicom Networks provides dedicated wireless LAN
expertise -- in the form of network design, product installation, consulting,
training and support -- thereby filling a key service/solution void in today's
wireless computing industry.
The name
Nvisicom is derived from "invisible communications" since radio
frequency technology -- not cabling -- is the primary means for communications.
With Nvisicom's wireless solutions, computer users have the freedom and
flexibility to work anywhere in an office, home or campus while maintaining
network connections for Internet access, file sharing or document printing.
Nvisicom's
founders bring nearly 20 years of combined experience in wireless LAN product
development, marketing, sales support and training. Nvisicom, an authorized
reseller of the leading wireless LAN and wireless accessory vendors, is
privately held and has headquarters in Costa Mesa. For more information, visit
the Nvisicom Web site at www.nvisicom.com.
