Structured Mesh With Multi-Radio Modules


MeshDynamics provides provide Structured Mesh Modules (Figure 1) where customers purchase the engine (supporting up to 4 radios)  to mount antennas of their choice. We also sell assembled systems with high gain antennas for specific configurations (Figure 2). Lastly, OEM licenses are available to those deploying our software in high volumes, typically in city wide WiFi installations.  Network Management System software is included with all purchases, at no additional charge.

The Structured Mesh Module is the basis for a migration strategy from 2 radios up wards to a maximum of 4 radios. This unit can support up to 4 a/b/g radios. Range is defined in part by the antenna gain - 4 N-Female connectors are available to connect to the antenna of choice. Modules comes with 2 Ethernet ports, one of which supports Power over Ethernet (PoE). 

Software upgrades from 2 to 3 and 3 to 4 radio configurations are supported. Remote online upgrade are enabled through the Network Management System included with all purchases, at no additional charge.

Reference designs for our multi-radio systems are available for WISPs who purchase the software and assemble the mesh nodes themselves. For those wanting complete systems delivered, we also provide mesh nodes in kit form with step by step assembly instructions and we also ship complete systems.

Software upgrades from 2 to 3 and 3 to 4 radio configurations are supported. Remote online upgrade are enabled through the Network Management System included with all purchases, at no additional charge.

Pricing and Availability

Complete 3-radio systems are available within four weeks after receipt of order and are priced at $3900 in quantity 1-24. A 3-radio mesh module (complete with software but without antennas) is priced at $2900 in similar quantities. Structured Mesh software is also available for license to OEMs and resellers, as well as wireless Internet Service Providers who wish to construct their own APs based on MeshDynamics' reference designs. OEM Licenses start with a $45,000 for a 100 license engagement package that includes training, with individual licenses costing $450 in quantity 101-499, and $300 at the 1,000 quantity level.
